Explore the exotic islands of Indonesia on board Peter Hughes Diving's beautiful liveaboard, Komodo Dancer!
In a constantly shrinking world, it’s surprising that there are still areas where adventure and innocence still reign. In our quest for new un-trodden dive sites, together with the Barnacle Busters, L.A. and Orange County's gay and lesbian scuba club, we've planned an expedition to a place so remote that most people probably haven’t even heard of it. Travel to the turquoise seas east of Bali, east of Flores Island to the Alor Archipelago, a land of pearls and unexplored reefs, golden beaches for miles and friendly people to whom Westerners are still a novelty.
You’ll leave LAX early in the morning of April 11th, bound for Denpasar, capital city of Bali. After an overnight there on the beach at Seminyak, you'll catch a scenic domestic flight to Maumere on Flores, where you'll board the Komodo Dancer and set sail for your first day of diving. You’ll be offered 3 – 4 dives a day for the next nine and a half days on some of the world’s most diverse reefs.
To ensure your comfort, we’ve chartered the Komodo Dancer, a traditional Indonesian sailing (and motor-powered) vessel of extraordinary beauty and comfort. This will be the perfect trip for those sailors among you. You'll enjoy 9 and 1/2 days of diving in these pristine waters, the birthplace of tropical fishdom, where hard and soft corals flourish, schools of fish block the sun, whale sharks graze and rare spices grow. Because of its inaccessibility, tourists are rare and divers even more so.
At the end of the ten-day voyage, you'll return to Bali for two days of land tours and exploration of this legendary paradise, including magical Ubud, the highland heart of Bali. The wonders of Bali’s beautiful people, serene culture and breathtaking scenery have been sung for centuries by mariners and traders. And, of course it’s a shopping mecca.
You'll reluctantly return to LAX from Denpasar on April 25th.

Your Package Includes:
- Economy class airfare on China Airlines from LAX to Denpasar, Bali, all taxes and fuel surcharges included
- Airport transfers in Indonesia
- 10 nights aboard the Komodo Dancer in an air-conditioned double occupancy cabin with private bath
- All meals and between meal snacks on board the vessel
- Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including soft drinks on board the boat
- Up to 4 dives a day, conditions permitting
- Tanks, weights and weight belt
- Domestic flight from Bali to Maumere and back
- Three nights luxury accommodation on the island of Bali
- Breakfast daily on Bali as well as one group lunch and one farewell dinner
- One day of land touring, with traditional Barong and Keris dance performance
- One day at leisure in Ubud
Not Included:
Dive gear rental if required, Nitrox if desired, meals and beverages not specified above (one lunch and one dinner on Bali), international departure tax ($25), gratuities and items of a personal nature.

25 April Depart Taipei at 11:25 p.m. on CI 8 arriving at LAX at 7:50 p.m the same day due to the International Date Line
Domestic flights within Indonesia to and from Maumere are also included.
Deposit:
$750 initial deposit to hold space. Second deposit of $1500 due December 11. Third payment of $1500 due January 11. Final balance of $1645 due February 11, 90 days prior to departure.
