Fourteen gay and lesbian divers and our friends will get together for a fantastic week on the island of Saba, in the Caribbean's Netherlands Antilles. Saba is a small, gay-welcoming island renowned for its healthy marine environment and exciting pinnacle dives.
You'll stay in Juliana's Hotel, and your trip leader for the week, Robert Walden, will show you the best of everything this charming island has to offer. Breakfast daily along with five lunches and six dinners are included in your package.
You'll get thirteen dives with the excellent and professional Sea Saba dive shop; two to three dives a day for five days. The pinnacles offshore act as beacons for fish, and the topside of the island offers a lush rainforest atop Mt. Scenery, where you can spend an afternoon hiking.
We've scheduled this year's trip to coincide with Saba's "Sea & Learn" event.Throughout the entire month of October, a variety of expert naturalists, scientists and academics fly in to participate in lectures and field excursions that cover topics as far ranging as how fish communicate to one another and how coral reproduces to the timely subject of how climate change affects coral reefs. During “Sea & Learn,” guests are invited to enjoy fascinating large-screen presentations led by the visiting experts, offered every other night during the month.
